Our Team

Owner: Melissa Turrill

Melissa has been immersed in the horse world for a number of years. She makes all efforts to give each equine companion the best care and truly treats each horse as if they are her own. She has a selfless heart and creates a wonderful barn environment for her clients. She will always help put a smile on anyone’s face, and ensures the horses are her number one priority in all she does.

Guard Dog: Tucker

You can often find Tucker in the office, or in Melissa’s arms. He does not allow her to go too far, but he makes the best “guard dog” and takes his job very seriously.

Mouse and Pigeon Patrol: Otis and Christina

Otis and Christina (Chris) are the two best patrol kitties in Pickaway County. No bird or mouse is safe on the premises with them on duty. When they need a [much deserved] break, you can find them lounging atop tack boxes, or sunning themselves on the porch swing.

Trainer/Instructor: Maddy Diehl

With over 10 years of riding experience, Maddy is deeply passionate about starting horses under saddle and ensuring they receive a solid and confident foundation. She takes pride in starting her own horses and showcasing them at various events, including the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. Maddy’s interests span across multiple disciplines, including hunters and jumpers, barrel racing, pole bending, and ranch riding. She also enjoys learning from a diverse range of trainers, incorporating techniques from different disciplines, and helping riders grow alongside their horses.

Barn Manager: Sheila McCarron

The best of the best! She’s my right hand, she’s a part of my family and the heart and the core of this facility! She’s been the manager of the barn for over 5 years and gives 150% every day to our barn family and the horses. Her work ethic and attention to detail is truly a gift and I couldn’t run this facility without her! She has the sweetest soul, her love and dedication cannot be replaced and we are beyond blessed to have her and her horse King as part of our family!

Staff: Chelsy Myra

Chelsy is our newest addition to the barn family, and everyone here thinks the world of her! She’s been immersed in the horse world for most of her life, she has a kind heart and connects quickly with all the horses and their individual needs. She has competed in multiple local rodeos, All American Youth Show and countless others. Her attention to detail is fantastic, she’s patient with the horses, funny and a blessing to have as part of the family! A top hand for sure!
